Please check whether the camera works without the GPS mount. If the device works fine without the GPS mount, then please plug usb charger directly to camera host device for power source after sliding up the gps mount. Its GPS still works by this power-supply way.
And if you mind powering camera unit in this way, please contact us for a new GPS module. No worry about it.
